Civilian and Military Benefits

Fast-Track Admissions: Apply and enroll immediately. Start making fast progress toward your degree while official documents are being processed.

Tuition Scholarship: UMT offers several scholarships that provide financial relief to military personnel, veterans and their dependents, and others who want to earn a degree. In addition, students who are granted one of the UMT scholarships and are not receiving additional government funding that covers the cost of books (GI Bill^® recipients, etc.) are also eligible for the UMT Book Loan Program. Transfer Credits: Up to 75% of the required hours for an undergraduate degree may be transferred. Graduate programs allow credit-transfer of up to 50%. Military training qualifies according to ACE recommendations.

Waivers for Experience: Relevant professional experience may qualify for a course waiver. Ask a UMT admissions counselor for details.

Test Out: UMT accepts CLEP and DSST scores for college credit. Students also may take a challenge test to opt out of a given course.
